SAMPLE ITINERARY

For Guatemala Retreats

Welcome to Guatemala! Arrive any time on the first day of the retreat. Fly to Guatemala City airport (GUA) and we'll have a driver there to pick you up and bring you to our accommodation in Antigua.

Spend the first day/night getting to know each other and relax after your travel day.

*No plans this day as everyone will arrive at different times.

Our third day starts off early as we prepare to set out on the Acatenango volcano hike!

This is a 6 hour hiking day that will challenge you physically but reward you with the most spectacular views. Once we reach the top, we have dinner (and maybe a beer) while we wait for nightfall to see the glowing lava erupting.

We spend the night camping on the volcano edge (either in tents or a small cabin)

Day 2 (first full day) is spent in Antigua. We'll start with a local Guatemalan "typico" breakfast, then spend a few hours touring the town.

Everything is walking distance and you'll get to experience the famous Santa Catalina Arch, Antigua's beautiful Central Park, dozens of cafes, Mayan culture and handicraft shops, craft breweries, many fascinating ruins, and so much more!

Perhaps we grab tacos for lunch and then head over to Aqua for an afternoon swim and rooftop pizza for dinner with a view of the volcanos.

Fourth day of our retreat - waking up on the side of a volcano! - you have the option to do a sunrise summit hike before we have breakfast and begin our descent.

The journey down takes about 3 hours, and we'll arrive back to our accommodation in Antigua around 1pm.

The rest of day can be spent as you please, maybe relaxing at our air bnb if you're tired from the hike, or go for a walk and explore more of Antigua. We'll end the day with a group dinner at one of the best steak houses in town.

Day five, we check out of our accommodation in Antigua and head off to beautiful Lake Atitlan where we'll spend the remainder of our retreat!

This crystal clear lake surrounded by volcanos (photos can't do it justice) is the perfect place to connect with nature.

Tonight we'll have a bon fire under the stars, and of course, the opportunity for you to try another type of adventure (if you desire).
